Diamond Jubilee Pearls Foundation
The Diamond Jubilee Pearls Foundation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Mu Omega chapter is a 501 (c) (3) organization, established in 2003 to provide high school and college scholarships to students in the city of Milwaukee. In addition to awarding scholarships the foundation also financially supports all the community service projects sponsored by Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter: AKA Money Camp, Family Fun Day, MLK Day of Service, Breast Cancer Walk/Run and numerous other service projects.
The foundation annually hosts one major fundraiser in the spring, "The Mother/Daughter Brunch" featuring the Emerging Pearls. This event is a celebration of the special bond between mothers and daughters, grandmothers, aunts, nieces and god-mothers. The brunch highlights the importance of supporting one another as women and providing support and encouragement to the young women in our community. The funds raised from this event make it possible for Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter to sponsor various community service projects at no cost to families in the city of Milwaukee.
Tax deductible contributions can be made to support these educational activities and the DJP Scholarship fund to:
