MLK Day of Service, January 18, 2010, King Library, Topic Discussed:  Health & Wellness for Teens.  The event was free and open to the public.

Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter
Adopt-A-Poll Project, April 6, 2010, North Division Campus.  Members of Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter served as Poll Workers for Milwaukee's Spring Election.
Boys to Men Conference, April 17, 2010, Northcott Neighborhood House.  Young men ages 13-18 were led by compelling, engaging, and well-versed speakers who discussed topics in financial literacy, career and educational planning, leadership skills and healthy relationships.  The day ended with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
AKA Day at the State Capitol - Bringing Politics to Youth: Education, Service and Policies, May, 2010. This event introduced youth to the art and science of government and politics.
AKA Money Camp for Kids, was held June 21-25, 2010, 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Washington Park Library.  Milwaukee area youth enjoyed a diversity of workshops focusing on financial literacy, such as: budgeting, savings, and starting a business.  Additionally, they attended field trips that allowed them to see the inner workings of local Milwaukee businesses.  The week culminated with the youth presenting projects. 
Mother-Daughter Brunch, was held May 22, 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn – Milwaukee Park Place. The keynote speaker for the brunch was Danae Davis, the Chief Executive Officer for PEARLS for Teen Girls, Incorporated. All proceeds from this event supports the mission of Diamond Jubilee Pearls Foundation , a 501(c)3 organization.

The Emerging Pearls Enrichment Program is designed to help girls’ ages 10-14 develop critical life skills that will help them pursue their future goals and dreams. These young ladies actively participated in three workshops focusing on health and fitness, self-esteem and life skills/etiquette.  The participants were presented during the Mother-Daughter Brunch.
Our 13th Annual Family Fun Day was held August 21, 2010 in the parking lot of Albright UMC on the corner of 56th & Capitol Dr.  The purpose of Family Fun Day (FFD) is to provide resources, activities and entertainment to area families.  There was a Children’s Fun area, including face painting and tattoos, as well as live music, refreshments, many special guests and numerous educational, health and financial  related activities and resources.
